Pimonakhos Vol 5 Issue 1

January 3rd, 2011

Message:

Dear Readers,

Peace and Grace to you all,

“And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying.

There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” (Rev 21:4)

On behalf of the monks of St Shenouda Monastery, we pray for the repose of the souls of those who were martyred during the New Year Eve bombing outside St Paul and St Peter Church in Alexandria. We also ask our savior to console the families of those martyrs. May our gracious Lord bring peace and comfort to their hearts. We pray for His Holiness Pope Shenouda III and the whole church on this sad day of our history.

We would like to invite you to share with us a Divine Liturgy on Saturday the 8th of January 2011 at 9:00am – 12:00pm, in commemoration of our beloved martyrs.

Pimonakhos Vol 3 Issue 11

November 17th, 2009

Message:

Dear Readers,

Peace and Grace to you all,

This month issue is about a very much needed virtue in today’s world, we hope you enjoy it.

We also would like to inform you that we have added three new useful features to our website.

1.    We have added a book review module which suggests a very good collection of books for reading for youth and Sunday school servants. Along with the list of books people who have read some of the books can go in and add their review that others might have an idea about the content of the book and what to expect from it.

2.    We have also added a photo gallery that has a collection of photos of our monastery.

3.    For Churches or youth groups who have a web site or a blog, we have provided a link so that they can add a link button on their website/blog for people to subscribe to our news letter (we have also provided the HTML code).

For all this hard work on our website, we would like to thank two people, Shenouda Andrawis and Michael Mikhail, who worked tirelessly to get it up and running.

God Bless you all,

Bishop Anba Daniel

Bishop and Abbot of St Shenouda Monastery
